Image Theme: The Mass: From Beginning To End
These twenty oil paintings have been exhibited in Westminster Cathedral during Holy Week, 1993, and in the Bar Convent, York, Autumn 1993. Most of them were painted during 1988 and 1989, and were the first of the ‘prayer’ paintings to be painted as large oils. They are published as high quality prints in the book THE MAJESTY OF THE MASS. All 20 paintings are also printed together on a single poster, called THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS: MASS POSTER. The series is also presented as part of the SECOND RADIANT LIGHT CONFERENCE VIDEO, with a spoken commentary by the artist.
