Radiant Light Newsletter—March 2003
Christ 'is the radiant light of God's glory' (Heb 1:3)

Dear Friends - The first thing to tell you is that we are arranging a ROSARY PICTURES EXHIBITION for the whole of April and May in the French Church in central London, which includes the new Mysteries of Light. All the details are on the enclosed colour poster. We hope that you will be able to come, and bring your friends too. It is a great opportunity to inspire people, and encourage them in their faith. (If you live in a parish outside Westminster Diocese, you might like to ask your priest if you can display the poster in your church - Westminster parishes will receive them by post next week).

Please make a note of the SPECIAL EVENT IN THE FRENCH CHURCH ON SATURDAY 10th MAY: there will be a Meditation on the pictures at 11.30am, followed by Mass at 12.30. This year the guest preacher at the Mass will be Fr Aidan Nichols O.P., Prior of Blackfriars, Cambridge, the well-known writer and speaker. There is no need to book for this event - just turn up on the day, there is plenty of space in the church. We hope to see many of you there.

NEWS.

A very special THANK YOU to all those who have shared news about their faith and their lives; thank you for your encouragement, letters and prayers. We have had news about Radiant Light pictures being used in parishes and schools for catechesis – they have been especially appreciated by children and young people; some of the pictures and writings have been used on retreats, and in seminaries and prayer groups around the world; various prison chaplains have told us that the new Prayer Card for Prisoners has given real hope to many of the people they visit; and the Prayer Postcards are still being used in many hospital chaplaincies. Later in the year the popular Good News magazine will have a series of pictures by Elizabeth Wang on its covers. We hope that the recently published book The Mass Through the Eyes of Christ will help people deepen their love for Christ and for the Mass; and that the new set of Rosary Postcards will bring people closer to Jesus through Mary – especially with the new Mysteries of Light!

Elizabeth Wang has not been able to get out and about giving talks this year, but she has continued with her writing and painting. Many of you managed to visit last year's exhibition in the French Church. Fr Bernard Boisseau and the parish team said that it was greatly appreciated by the many visitors who pop into their central London Church. It was good to meet so many of you at the Meditation and Mass on June 15th; and to have the chance to encourage each other in faith. Thanks to Fr Digby Samuels for presiding at Mass and especially to Fr Philip Miller for his beautiful sermon. At the end of the exhibition the pictures went on an informal 'tour' – they were displayed at the huge Youth 2000 Walsingham Retreat, and then in Underwood Road parish in East London.

Please remember that for everyone connected with Radiant Light the Feast of Corpus Christi (19th June) is a special day of prayer and thanksgiving. We praise and thank God for all His gifts, and pray that in different ways we can serve Him and our neighbour, and encourage one another in holiness. We hope you are keeping well. May the Lord bless you and those you care for – may he help us all to grow in faith, in hope, and in love. Please pray for the work of Radiant Light – and for the life and mission of the whole Church. With best wishes,

Fr Stephen Wang, Chris Wang, and Mary Wang
