‘Apostleship of the Sea’ gathering
These photos were taken at a gathering for ‘Apostleship of the Sea’ members after the Annual National Service for Seafarers, St Pauls’ Cathedral, October 13th 2004. At the AOS gathering, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor unveiled a copy of the painting ‘Surrounded by Christ’s love’ by Elizabeth Wang. This picture has been used by the AOS on prayer cards, posters and calendars for seafarers around the world. It shows Christ, standing above the globe, looking lovingly upon the world. His light shines on to the world below and silhouettes several ships on the horizon. To see larger versions of each photo, click on a thumbnail photo within this gallery.
